& RUISLIP news ...bringing you news,views and opinions every month JULY 2019, ISSUE 82 FREE £9,000 HELEN’S HELPERS PUPILS MAKE FIRST AFRICAN TRIP Students from a Northwood school have raised over £9,000 to make improvements to the infrastructure of a village in Uganda. A group of 15 girls in Year 12 from St Helen’s School, who helped raise the £9,402, made the trip to Uganda earlier this month to work on the project. In partnership with Far Frontier, the school’s project will see £3,000 of the money go to making improvements to the village school in Mitete which caters for 300 students who don’t have access to clean water.
