This level of advancement becomes. ucia crucial in educational and professional settings. This is developed with more than just vocabulary lessons. In order to be able to comprehend, learn and participate in higher academic settings, students need to be taught in a more contextually versatile manner. To be proficient in academic language, students need to be taught language in a variety of contexts. This allows students to be able to make connections in order to manipulate their vocab and grammar accordingly. Academic language varies depending on the situation and setting. For example, a dress would not be appropriate for a swimming party, and a swimsuit would not be appropriate for a funeral. Same idea for academic language appropriateness ( Silva, et. al., 2013).
