The rolling stones is also a entertainment magazine and in this magazine you can see three contrasting photos with one showing a stereotyped rock/ punk artist with bright and colourful colours and then the one underneath is in black and white with a piano which symbolises a more calming and almost romantic feeling compared to its brightly coloured counterpart. Then finally underneath that photo there is a picture of the former president of America; Barack Obama. The use of these three different photos symbolises the magazines diversity and shows the reader before they have to open and read the magazine the kind of things that will be featured in this magazine.
