FRANCE - BORDEAUX CHÂTEAU JEAN FAUX 2014 Bordeaux 88/100 Pale youthful colour, pale straw with a green hue. Very pure nose. Very intense, very youthful. A lot of green aromas like; green walnuts, with fresh herbs, green apple, lime, lemon. Very much in the direction of Sauvignon, but slightly riper style I would say. Very bright palate. With lemon and lime zest, apple and pear. There is a lot of herbal elements, but not like unripe. Rather ripe herbs, giving a lift to the palate almost like mint. Yeah, a slightly minty note. No oak to talk about. Perhaps a gentle hint in the background, but it is mainly a fruity expression. Bright freshness, a medium towards long finish. Good clarity, good purity. Delicious today and I suppose a style that should be best drunk fairly young. Andreas L arsson Best Sommelier of The W
