ITALY PRIMOSIC RIBOLLA GIALLA RISERVA 2011 Collio 91/100 Very intense colour here, deep golden, boarding on orange. The nose, however, is younger than the colour indicates. Still a lot of freshness here, with lush tropical, quite ripe fruit; like pineapple, apricot, yellow fruity notes. With a hint of spiciness, such as saffron. So it feels like a quite ripe or over-ripe. Not in the negative sense, just the addition of botrytis over-ripeness aromatically. Quite complex with a certain evolution. Despite the indication of sweetness on the nose. It is a classically bone-dry wine. It has a good extract so quite fine tannic presence here. I would say a positive bitterness. With some hints of candied orange peel, citrus and quite bold in terms of texture. Rounded with lush and tropical fruit. It does have a few years of age to it for sure. I really like this aromatic complexity suggesting it is a sweet wine even though it finishes dry. Good grip. Very good length as well. Persistent, certain
