Introduction These ads were created and published in order to increase revenue during Valentine’s Day. I developed the idea for these ads after learning that most of our ads only target women and since Valentine’s Day was approaching, it was important to reach out to men who were looking for gifts for their significant other. The ads focused on gift cards and were targeted to show to only men who were Facebook friends of people who like our page. This was done on the assumption that the couple would be friends on Facebook. These ads had a combined budget of $32.00 a day and the ads were up for a total of 28 days. The ads had a return on investment (ROI) of 5.34 with the average purchase being $86.28. Since these were gift cards to an online boutique, there were no costs of good sold and since the money would be going right back into The Mint Julep, the only cost associated with the sale of these gift cards would be the advertising cost.
