I AM NOT A CALVINIST BECAUSE I DO NOT BELIEVE THE CALVINIST DISTORTION OF THE DOCTRINE OF TOTAL DEPRAVITY

The Bible teaches us that man is “dead in trespasses and sins” (Ephesians 2:1; Jeremiah 17:9; Romans 3:10-18; I Corinthians 2:14). The Calvinists twist these Scriptures and teach that man is incapable of responding to the gospel of Christ. They say that God needs to regenerate them before he can even believe. They teach that the regeneration precedes faith - and nowhere does the Bible teach that. Furthermore, the verses that they use, are used out of context. On the contrary, the Bible teaches us that God who has given the capacity to man to respond to the gospel of Christ, giving them light (John 1:9); drawing them (John 12:32); reproving them (John 16:8); calling them by the gospel (II Thessalonians 2:14); commanding them to repentance (Acts 17:30); and all those that believe in Christ (Acts 16:31).
