FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Zoe Hughes April 26, 2017 (205) 227-8126 zph0002@auburn.edu The United Way of Lee County will be hosting a Campaign Kickoff Breakfast in hopes of completing its fundraising goal Pre-kickoff fundraising has raised $217,989, which is 27.9 percent of the United Way’s fundraising goal. Opelika, AL: The United Way Campaign Kickoff Breakfast will be held Monday, May 1, 2017 at 7:30 a.m. at the East Alabama Medical Center’s Health Resource Center. The theme is “Welcome to the Big Top – Every Hour, Every Day, United Way,” which is intended to bring attention to the United Way’s campaign, recognize key volunteers, motivate the community and the campaign’s fundraising volunteers. The “Big Top” theme is one that community members and United Way volunteers alike can relate to.
