The Power of Story Time I can’t believe I’m in jail The heavy, metal door clicked shut behind me, causing the hairs on the back of my neck to stand up like tiny needles. I clasped my hands tightly in front of my stomach in the small, empty room lit up with bright fluorescent lights. Feeling them become clammy, I began to nervously rub my palms on the sides of my denim jeans. Butterflies were starting to form in my stomach. I took one deep inhale and exhale, hoping to ease the fluttering inside me. “You can leave your keys up here before you go in,” Captain Hammond explained, referring to the ledge on our left. I immediately did as I was told. At this point, all we could do was wait to be let in to the other room. One thought kept resurfacing in my mind: I can’t believe I’m in jail. http://static4.businessinsider.com/image/57757676dd0895c4708b4ad9-960/telestory_rosario%20d%20m_2_pc%20courtesy%20of%20brooklyn%20public%20library.jpg
