BREAKING NEWS Languages Centre– April 2017-Vol. 7 No. 3 EDITORIAL TEACHERS’ CORNER WHY ENGLISH IDIOMATIC EX- PRESSIONS AND APPLIED LINGUISTICS TEACHERS’ CORNER After five years of leading the coordina- tion of the Centre of Languages of the “Universidad la Gran Colombia” there are many accomplishments we have achieved. I say so in plural, because otherwise the whole team that has ac- companied me during this period would not have been possible to reach: the support and collaboration of teachers, administrative staff, students and prac- titioners (pre-services): with their con- stant participation, we have managed to consolidate the Language Centre as it is today. It is from them and with them, whom we have worked, hand by hand, to take forward all projects relat- ed to the offer of languages at the Uni- versity La Gran Colombia: English, Ital- ian, Portuguese, French, German and Spanish for foreigners.
