PROSTHETIC RESTORATION Making an impression of an Axiom®FE implant using the PICK-UP technique 02 Making an impression of the implant allows to accurately record its location in all three planes. A dedicated transfer coping must be used to achieve an accurate master model from which the laboratory will fabricate the final restoration. The Pick-up technique is also called «Open Tray Direct Impression Technique». It uses either a commercially available perforated impression tray or a custom tray with screw-access windows. COMPONENTS/INSTRUMENTS REQUIRED Unique connection system: One Pick-up transfer coping and one implant analog fits all implant diameters. Hexagonal wrenches INCHECV INCHELV Pick-up Transfer coping OPPU100 Implant analog OPIA100 1 Remove the healing screw using a long hexagonal wrench IN CHELV. Select the screw length that will protrude through the hole in the impression tray. Thread the pick-up into the implant immediately after indexing to minimize the risk of soft tissue
