BACKGROUND Since the meeting of Euro-Mediterranean Industry Ministers which was held in Caserta in 2004, the process of Euro-Mediterranean industrial cooperation has consisted in implementing defined two-year work programmes. Good progress is being made with the current work programme (2011-2012) and the time is now right to begin preparations for the next programme, for 2013-2014. The Working Party on Euro-Mediterranean Industrial Cooperation meets twice a year to take stock of implementation of the current work programme and prepare the next one.
