Script for Prelim Draf Georgia: A problem we later discovered with our prelim is the 180 degree rule, this was later apparent when Lucy walked through the door and was filmed at her angle. Honor: The 180 degree rule is a line between the two characters. Being called the axis of action. This is called the 180 degree rule because the camera can’t move more than 180 degrees (half a circle) around the characters. Lucy: The next shot afer I have entered the door the 180 degree angle was broken and the next sequence Honor was filmed from her right shoulder looking towards my direction instead of vise versa. Georgia: As we crossed the line the camera swaps over to the other side for one of the shots so the shots didn’t work together. Instead of facing each other, Honor and Lucy now looked as if they are facing in the same direction. Honor: It is important not the break the 180 degree rule as it confuses and unsettles the audience. On whatever side you choose to film within the circle you must
