San Marcos River brings in students for glassbottom tours By: Samantha Green Since 1945, San Marcos, TX, has attracted many residents and nonresidents alike to experience its local Spring Lake glassbottom boat tours. The Spring Lake boat tours takes students on an indepth look inside the San Marcos River. ”I thought that by doing the tour students would get to understand the nature around them, said Texas State junior Victoria Kadous. A lot of students would get to experience the nature and story behind it.” A glassbottom boat is a boat with sections of glass below the waterline that allows passengers to observe the underwater environment of the San Marcos River from inside the boat.
