Samantha Green MC 4320: Campaigns Prof. Villagran 11/9/16 Crisis Paper #2 The crisis I’m going to talk about today is the alligator attack that occurred in June 2016 at a hotel in Disney World. Lane Thomas-Graves, two-year old Nebraska boy was killed while watching a movie with his family on the beach. Witnesses claim that they did in fact report sightings of the alligator to hotel staff, but nothing was done to restrain it. Another detailed report from an eyewitness claims that the attack was in fact a “predatory event”, and not “human inflicted.” Basically, what this witness is trying to say is that this attack was completely random and not the malicious act of a human being. The three major talking points I will address during this essay is the severity of the issue towards Disney’s reputation, future ways to prevent this issue from occurring again, and lastly, how severe this issue is as a whole.
