Optometry Workshop Optometrists from Specsavers visited Harlaw Academy to talk to some of our S3 science pupils about careers within the field of Optometry and beyond! Optometrists are responsible for detecting any issues with eye sight and also any eye diseases which people may have. Pupils were first asked to try out some goggles which mimicked eye conditions such as Cataracts to see how it would feel to suffer from such a condition. Pupils then had the chance to be Optometrists for a bit and test out some ‘fashionable’ specs and determine how well they fit using special software!
