Letter from LCIA President Joe Giarrusso III The LCIA has its mission statement and bylaws on our website. But our purpose is simple – the Association is here to serve Lakeview. The only way to improve that service is to relentlessly ask whether the organization is meeting (or better yet) exceeding the expectations of the neighborhood. This can only be accomplished through a meaningful dialogue with our membership. On the hot-button issues, we have heard from you. The condition of the streets drove and continues to drive the Fix My Streets initiative. When crime was a concern last year, the LCPD doubled down by increasing police patrols and by studying the use of crime cameras and other technology to reduce criminal activity. The most routine calls and emails fielded are about zoning issues.
