Producers Attend Annual Ag Conference The South Plains Ag Conference and Trade Show was held on Wednesday, January 20 at the American Legion Hall. This show is sponsored annually by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension. The room was filled with farmers and other interested parties. Fifty-eight producers registered for the needed CEU’s that were available for attending, in order to keep their applicator’s license. After an early morning welcome by Extension Agent Zach Bradshaw, the day of speakers and presentations began. Dr.TerryWheeler,ExtensionProfessor, Soilborne Diseases of Cotton and Peanuts, spoke on disease management in peanuts and cotton. Dr. Peter Dotray, Extension Weed and Herbicide Science Specialist, gave a presentation on weed management which included glyphosate resistant pig weed management.
