Fruit Worth Sharing By Beverly Hill McKinney I love summer and fall. Those are the seasons that produce the luscious fruit that I can enjoy. I love the juicy peaches, bright orange apricots, and red, ripe cherries and so many more. Some days all three of my meals are either all fruit or have some kind of fruit in them. Jesus says in Matthew 7:16–18: “‘By their fruit you will recognize them. … every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.’” Jesus was talking about how you can tell true Christians from those who are Christian in name but not in action. I remember once driving past an orchard in the San Joaquin valley years ago. As I looked out the car window I saw many acres of dead trees. Weeds had grown up around the trees and what appeared to be dead fruit hung on the branches. It was such a desolate sight and left me depressed.
