Hydraulic fracturing, or fracking for short has received much criticism and gained the attention of environmentalists around the world because of its effects on the environment. This academic journal describes different situations around the United States where there have been lawsuits against energy corporations that carry out the fracking process. Lawsuits against these corporations have popped up in many states such as Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Texas, Colorado, and Louisiana.
