Chattanooga has a one Gigabit-persecond Internet speed available to the entire community. The fame of this Fiber Optic network is why Chattanooga is now known as “Gig City” across America. Chattanooga is the birthplace of Ted Turner, Willie Mays and Samuel L. Jackson - just to name a few. Chattanooga Bakery created the MoonPie in 1917 and distributed it for a mere 5 cents per pie. Today, nearly a million MoonPies are produced every day.
