Like last year, the circuit visits the aprons of the former Tempolhof airport, although the exact layout is different to that seen in Season 1. The new configuration has met with widespread praise, with 10 turns instead of 17, several straights and a combination of tight and fast corners. There is also a portion through a 'tunnel' whch passes beneath spectators watching the race from the eMotion Club. The concrete-based surface is very hard-wearing, especially early in the day when the cars first go out, but the PSEV2 has already demonstrated its ability to cope with this sort of challenge at track temperatures in excess of 40°C.
