this is the challenge taken up in 2014 by Mehdi Ben
Cheikh to stage a gigantic ephemeral and international
street exhibition. In a deserted Parisian concrete and
brick tower doomed for destruction, world-famous
street art artists were given free space – sometimes
to the scale of a whole apartment – to produce
themselves and graff up the walls and floors of the entire building. This resulted in the biggest collective
exhibition of street art ever imagined, a unique aesthetic and creative space without limits which remained
opened to the public for a month before being entirely demolished.
This exceptional book wards off the ephemeral nature of the project by reuniting the best images by well-known
street art photographers from all four corners of the planet. It immortalizes together the powerful, colourful
