Summary
This proposal is interested in relation between social cohesion and built heritage by studying the new Ksar Tafilelt in the valley of M’Zab. This ksar is built with the desire to interpret the built heritage of the area classified World heritage and to ensure the continuity, the sharing and the transmission of its heritage values. The particularity of this project is the sense of community that motivated and continues to animate it in all its practical aspects. This fact leads us to ask ourselves about the practices of Mozabite solidarity and its role in the production of the built environment in the valley.
Our intervention will discuss the effect exerted by social cohesion on reproduction and transmission of heritage. We will focus to examine how this cohesion has led by the creation of a new form of space occupation - new ksour- to the development of Mozabite heritage.
