The Reality of the World
To each individual, the quote, “We have art in order not to die from the truth,” holds a
different meaning. There are various ways that this statement could be interpreted. To me, this
quote means that art allows us to be creative and imagine whatever we choose in our own minds.
Art, in many different forms, allows us to briefly escape from the harsh reality of the world and
use our imaginations. Without art being a component of our society, the world and the people in
it would be very different from how they are today.
We use these various forms of art to assist us in accepting the more difficult concepts in
life. By using art as an escape from the troubles of the real world, we are able to keep our minds
grounded. Art allows us to express ourselves through music, dance, writing, and many other
activities. One of the most pertinent forms of art in our society is writing. I personally feel that
