Instead of choosing a rebranding specialist from available
agencies in New York, where Sterling Bank is based, Sterling senior vice president and chief
marketing officer Suzanne Copeland brought in Tactical Magic because she was familiar with the
agencys work and thought Tactical Magic managing partner Trace Hallowells strengths would fit

new logo for the combined banking institutions, as well as an identity system and a strategic
