Origin of Freestyle Soccer
While sports in itself is an expression of strength and agility, there is a way to get creative with it
and that is perhaps the basis of the concept of freestyle soccer. The game of football goes by the
name of soccer in America and freestyle is a means of expressing yourself with creative moves that
literally juggles the ball all over the body. Freestyle takes its inspiration from styles such as keepie,
uppie as well as kemari. There are even influences rhythmic gymnastics in the art form.
There is a bit of debate as far as the origin of freestyle soccer goes. Some claim that it goes back to
the early 70s and began at the hands of Pele, Maradona and even Cruyff. There are claims that it
originally came from South America and some even claim that it has its roots in Holland. It is
believed that the environment in these countries actually facilitated one being creative with their
movements with the ball. More About Freestyle Soccer Here
