PLANNING STUDY FACT SHEET Average age of the Sisters is 77 Safe Homes program has helped 450 individuals since 2009 2017 marks the 100th anniversary of the Notre Dame Sisters in Omaha. As you read about the needs and plans, please know your support will keep alive the Sisters’ mission of “reaching out to people with unmet needs.” Vision ur Following the words of Pope Francis who said, “look to the past with gratitude, live the present with passion and embrace the future with hope,” the Notre Dame Sisters have developed a three-phase transitional plan which will: Secure funding to provide the necessary care to the Sisters in their retirement years. Create a trust to sustain key ministries, including social justice, education and advocacy for human life. Transfer all assets to Notre Dame Housing, the Order’s largest sponsored ministry, to provide affordable senior housing. This transfer will only occur as a final legacy when the Sisters determine they are no longer able to manage the ot
