Most companies who have a particular employee who takes on the role of expediter think about
work order software. He or she may be a member of accounting, manufacturing or even
engineering. Their job will be to facilitate, to grease the skids, and to mind the specifics. The getit-done person is the one who is usually in charge of all the many functions of the business.
The expediter spends his or her days managing two things: paperwork and materials. As part of
the ordering and manufacturing process, these two things - paper and materials - travel from
