GLADWIN - The District Library has been offered $600,000 in grants to fund the Beaverton Activity
Center Project on the condition that we raise an additional $200,000, not counting the money
already donated or pledged, between June and November of 2014. The $600,000, plus the additional
$200,000, plus the funds already in hand would raise the amount available for the project to
$1,100,000. All that money will be spent here in Gladwin County to improve the facilities, creating
more jobs and bringing more prosperity. Be sure to read the Record & Clarion every week for more

On Aug. 8, 2014, the Friends of the Gladwin County Libraries, in cooperation with the Knights of
Columbus, will sponsor a fish fry at the K of C Hall located at 751 South M-18 to support Dolly
Parton's Imagination Library project for the Clare-Gladwin RESD. The Imagination Library sends a
new book every month to enrolled children from birth to age 5 at a cost that barely covers sh
