At the beginning of the second semester I was a little scared. I knew it was not going to be an easy task
because I had 19 credits. Life is about having challenges and confronting them. That is why I did pretty well in
terms of having a balance between the courses and my personal life. In order to be a complete professional or in our
case, developing professionals, one should have positive attitude towards learning. One should be determined,
dedicated, curious, and creative. In order to succeed as a person, you need all this. One needs to have a balance and
to perform all of them at the same level.
As part of my second semester at The University of Puerto Rico at Cayey, I participated at the RISE
Program. Here I grew as a scientist and as student. I learned to take more responsibilities and to do team work.
