Underground Friday: Shazar Khan
On today’s edition of Underground Friday, we introduce you to Shazar Khan. Originally from
Pakistan, Khan moved to the United Kingdom in 2011. He is a musician and an Ambassador of
Culture and Music for a UK-based human rights organization that advocates for minority rights
across the world.
We asked Khan five questions and here is what he had to say:
Who is Shazar Khan?
I am an Ambassador of Global Minorities Alliance, a Glasgow-based human rights organization
that fights for the rights of the persecuted around the world. I am also a passionate musician
and singer who believes in global peace and harmony for people of different faiths and
backgrounds. I extend this message through songs and performances across Scotland.
Tell us about your latest project?
It was a song about a persecuted mother of five on death row, Aasia Bibi. She became the first
woman in history of Pakistan
