Tasha Cobbs mourns death of father after her Stellar
Award wins
Barely two days after winning three Stellar Awards for her debut album, “Grace,” breakout
gospel singer Tasha Cobbs is mourning her father.
Cobbs’ dad, Bishop Fritz Cobbs died Monday, two days after traveling to Nashville to see her
win Stellar Awards for Best New Artist, Contemporary Female Vocalist of the Year and
Contemporary CD of the Year.
Bishop Cobbs was the pastor of the Jesup New Life Ministries of Jesup, Ga. He was featured
on his daughter’s album “Grace.”He introduced her on the song "I Trust You."
The 32-year-old Motown Gospel recording artist had been receiving a tremendous
amount of well-wishes and condolences from her fellow artists and fans on social media.
On Monday evening, she took to Twitter and Facebook to thank everyone for their
gestures of kindness.
