Michael and Tom live in Atascadero and
come to the Bluffs a couple of times a month.
They love that there are no crowds and that it is
truly beautiful. Playing in the water, skipping
rocks and lying in the warm sand are favorite
pastimes for them. They even bring their girlfriends sometimes.
Ellen lives in Bakersfield but use to live in
Morro Bay and Cayucos. For her it is “heaven
on earth”. Ellen uses it at a source of renewal.
When life becomes particularly stressful she
drives to the coast to spend the day at the bluffs.
Often her sister accompanies her. Ellen plays on
the beach looking for special rocks and shells
while her sister lays on a blanket on the bluff
edge (because she is not physically capable of
getting to the beach). When she heard that the
bluffs would be available as they are in perpetuity she was thrilled and very grateful.
