LNG JOURNAL PUBLICATION 30 June 2015 LNG Unlimited Finland-based natural gas company Gasum and Dutch shipping line Anthony Veder have signed an agreement for the long-term charter of a new ice-class LNG carrier to supply two Finnish import terminals. The small-scale 18,000 cubic metres vessel will be built at German shipyard Neptun Werft and delivered in the last quarter of 2017. Break-bulk The carrier will bring break-bulk LNG to the two import terminals which are currently being constructed near Pori and Tornio in Finland, to be completed in 2016 and 2018 respectively. Since the Tornio terminal is located in the northernmost arm of the Baltic Sea, the vessel will have the highest ice-class notation (1A Super) to allow it to safely and reliably trade in the extreme winter weather conditions.
