LNG JOURNAL PUBLICATION 21 October 2014 LNG Unlimited Italian energy company Eni, developer of two Mozambique LNG projects, has signed a cooperation agreement with the world’s biggest corporate buyer of the fuel, Korea Gas Corp., to strengthen their relationship in the LNG and upstream sectors. The accord will allow the companies to jointly pursue opportunities worldwide. Ventures The Italian company is developing two Mozambique ventures in the Area 4 licence it operates in the Rovuma Basin offshore the southeast African nation. The LNG projects include a 10 million tonnes per annum onshore plant to be in operation by 2020 and a 2.5 MTPA FLNG venture called Coral LNG Development. The FLNG project is scheduled to be completed by as early as 2019. There is an additional LNG project being developed in the Area 1 licence offshore Mozambique by Anadarko Petroleum and other partners.
