Athlone has been a tourist spot much sought for by people interested in Irish
culture or sport practice, because it is a easily access city to both rail or road,
the city has a wide variety of restaurants and hotels besides tourist and sport
attractions.
Like a traditional Irish city, Athlone have a good bohemian life. The city have
variety of pubs, one of the most frequented is inside the AIT. The city has 3
nightclubs, Karma, Genesis and Viva that open every day of the week. Genesis
is a nightclub more near the AIT and is the meeting point of students in
Monday nights.
