The primary goal of CMS 336 - Career
Dynamics & Corporate Communication
is to help you build your career & life
more strategically. You will learn how to
accurately identify and effectively
communicate what you have, what you
can develop, and what you want to offer
the world. This course is more about selfassessment as a foundation for career
planning and less about getting your next
job--although it will help with getting a
job as well.
Course Objectives
In this course you will learn how to:
1. Write clearly and persuasively;
2. Use writing to identify career and life themes using
various sources of evidence;
3. Critically evaluate implicit and explicit career
competencies, experiences, advice, and ideas;
4. Develop practical evidenced-based strategies for
your career.
CMS336 has no prerequisites; however, successful
completion of a college-level writing course will
prove helpful.
