New College Counseling and Wellness Center contributes ongoing data to CCAPS (Commission for Counseling and
Psychological Services) that allows institutions to better compare trends in a Counseling Center and within an institution
on whole to National trends.
CCAPS, a national college screening tool, is used at intake and termination, to measure a
student’s reported level of distress using a 5 point likert scale from “not at all like me” to “extremely like me.
” Score
comparisons are based on 180,000 unique students from 120 participating colleges and universities.
