Taking advantage of NATO’s airstrikes, rebels forces resume their advance toward Sirte.
Among them, a convoy (gathering CNT elements and men belonging to Saïka «Thunder» Commandos) has been given the task of bringing ammunitions to the Chebabs fighting near Harawa.
A few kilometers away from Bin Jawad, the rebel convoy is ambushed by a
handful of loyalists soldiers.
Surprise operates fully, two pick-ups and a truck are destroyed (mainly by radio controlled
mines), six men are down and the leader Salem is badly hurt.
After suffering from a sharp retaliation, the loyalists withdraw towards nearby buildings, firmly determined to complete their delaying action successfully.
