1 [Discharge Instructions for trilostane therapy] © Veritas 2012 Discharge Instructions for Trilostane Therapy Patient: Capsule size: Directions: • Give ____ capsule(s) by mouth every ____ hours • Give trilostane with food • Administer in the morning if once daily dosing is prescribed Recheck appointment: • Return for a recheck on _______ (10-14 days after starting trilostane) at ______ am/pm Recheck instructions: • Give trilostane as directed the morning of testing, with a small amount of food. • Bring your pet to the clinic 3 ½ to 4 hours after dose is administered. Call veterinarian if: • Not eating • Lethargic • Diarrhea • Vomiting • Weak Comments: Your dog has been prescribed trilostane for his/her hyperadrenocorticism (HAC).
