The Student Service Allocation Committee will recommend that student service areas receive more than
$5.
7 million in funding, including an extra $54,000 to
support new initiatives, for
the 2013 fiscal year.
An all-student advisory
committee met Wednesday
and Friday to hear budget
presentations from student
service areas and hold deliberations to determine
what was worthy of recommending to President James
Spaniolo.
Committee chairwoman Jennifer Fox will
send a formal recommendation this week to Spaniolo for his remarks.
Once
he receives it, he’ll use his
discretion to either approve
the committee’s recommendation or change it.
A timetable for Spaniolo’s
response is not yet known,
university spokeswoman
Kristin Sullivan said.
