Mav-Mazing Race Wednesday night.

Brittany Mayes didn’t even know
her team won the second annual
Mav-Mazing Race Wednesday night.
“I didn’t see anybody, so me and
Efrain [Silos] thought we had to
buy tickets and meet inside to win,”
she said.
Her team first went in the College Park Center.
But after searching inside, the team didn’t see any
UTA Ambassadors, who organized
the Amazing Race-style Spirit Week
event.
When the competitors came back
out the front door, they saw the UTA
ambassadors hand their rightful
first-place prize to a team that got
the College Park Center after them.
“We thought y’all were inside,” she
said with a laugh to the group of 10
that made it to the finish.
Her team, “the pink team,” just
painted their faces, cut out Maverick logos and built Blaze, the Maverick mascot, as stations on their
way to winning first place.
