The Shorthorn senior staff
LindaRodriguezwasatworkwhen
she received multiple phone calls.
She couldn’t answer them right
away, so she let them go to her voicemail.
When she got a chance, she listened to the only message left.
It
was in English and Rodriguez, who
only knows Spanish, picked up only
two words: police and Linda – her
daughter’s name.
Right away, Rodriguez said
she knew Roshan Sah, a man her
daughter met at church two years
prior, had done something to her.
Rodriguez said Sah possibly harassed her daughter since October.
Rodriguez took her phone to her
boss and asked him to translate the
message.
He listened to it and then
looked at Rodriguez.
“I have bad news.
Linda has
died,” Rodriguez said he told her.
Sah, a former UTA student, was
charged Feb.
23 with the murder of
Linda Villanueva-Rodriguez.
