Thirty people voted on campus Monday,
taking advantage of early voting, which
ends today.
Voting runs from 7 a.
m.
to 7
p.
m.
in the University Center Palo Duro
Lounge.
Election Day is Saturday.
The Tarrant
County Election
Center added the
university as a location after a group of
UTA students approached the center for the 2007
elections, said Jana
Johnson, Tarrant
County elections
manager.
Though
too late to add the
location in 2007, the
university hosted
early voting for the
2008 primary and
general elections.
German and Russian language junior
Deanna Hodge said
she wouldn’t have
been able to vote without an on-campus
location.
“I would have wanted to, but honestly
wouldn’t have been able to get up and go
to an off-site location,” she said.
“So this is
really good, it brings it to me.
