BY PERLA CABRERA The Shorthorn senior staff A different company will perform at this year’s Homecoming bash, the biggest party in town. GrooveBoston will bring its team to UTA on Nov. 31 as part of its Cohesion tour. The Bash is an annual event that is part of Homecoming week at UTA. Last year, 2,500 tickets were sold, and iExperia was the company in charge of the disc jockies and performances. EXCEL is hoping to meet or exceed last year’s ticket sales with GrooveBoston providing entertainment this year. EXCEL is working on giveaways, food, novelties and the karaoke that will be part of The Bash. “I think it’s the one night that we can just have a big party and have a bunch of food and show our school spirit,” said Mara Dillman, director of Campus Traditions for EXCEL Campus Activities. Dillman said The Bash brings a big crowd because of the music and fun atmosphere. GrooveBoston director Bobby Dutton said the shows are generally bigger than other college events.
