Future students could receive a degree for less than $10,000 in tuition
and fees.
UTA administrators signed an
agreement on July 25 with Arlington
and Mansfield high schools, as well
as Tarrant County College administrators, to help form an accelerated
degree plan.
The plan, which starts this month,
aims to encourage high school students who complete 24 semester credit hours of dual-credit college courses
in their junior and senior years to go
to TCC.
Dual-credit courses allow students
to earn high school and college credit
at the same time.
Arlington Independent School District has approximately 700 students
who enroll in dual-credit courses each
year,andofthosestudents,1,283dualcreditcoursesweretakenlastyear,said
