The Shorthorn staff
UTA shuttle services will add the
Mav Mobile, an all-electric bus, with a
new route this fall.
The bus seats 12 to 14 passengers and was purchased for about
$30,000.
It will be used to serve the
UTA community as a shuttle and for
group tours of the campus.
“We’ve rented ones similar to it
for larger events on campus and VIP
tours before,” UTA Police Capt.
Jay
Tillerson said.

UTA Police transportation supervisor, said the vehicle
is good for the environment and it only
comes in electric.
The current
buses are too large
to fit in the covered
parking.
The Mav
Mobile is small
enough to move on
campus malls like
the Central Library mall or the University Center mall, although it may
not be efficient.
