The Big Event participants did
across the Metroplex Saturday.
The Big Event, sponsored by
UTA Volunteers, is an annual
event that took place at more
than 50 sites in Arlington, Fort
Worth, Dallas and Mansfield.
The event was held to plan and
implement community service.
This year’s volunteers collaborated with the Arlington Alliance for Youth and Global Youth
Service Day, making a cumulative day of service.
Electrical engineering freshman Dijimba Kabuyi volunteered for Mission Arlington,
where his group carried boxes
and pulled weeds for the organization.
