Engineering lies in the hands of
its present students, Dean JeanPierre Bardet told students over
breakfast Wednesday morning.
“An educational institution
without students is an oxymoron.
It does not exist,” he said.
“Students are central to the College of Engineering’s future, they
are the fabric of the college.
We
are a system, a big outreach.
”
The College of Engineering’s
vision is to be a global leader in
research and education, Bardet
said.
“Our goal is to attract distinguished faculty, support worldclass research and serve in the
industry, government and academia to improve the quality of
life in North Texas,” he said.
